The Recovery Club

This is what Fenro built, and still runs.

The Recovery Club is a new, family-run sauna, ice bath and hot jacuzzi venue in Lurgan, opened in 2026. Fenro designed and built its public site, then the booking, payment and membership system underneath it, shaped the rules that system runs by around how the venue actually operates, and still runs all of it today, from the family's first customer onward.

flat-rate group bookings, the same system

What was shaped around the operation

These are not features picked from a list. Each one is a rule the business actually runs by, built into the system so customers and staff meet it automatically instead of remembering it. Some of it is configuration the club changes itself. The rest had to be engineered: the underlying booking system didn't express a rule like "the six o'clock session has to be booked by ten the night before, but staff can still take a walk-in," so Fenro built it rather than asking the business to work around the gap.

  • Booking notice

    What the business needed

Staff need preparation time before a session. Equipment has to be ready, and the earliest sessions of the day have to be known about the night before.

    What Fenro built

Public booking only offers times that still meet those deadlines, and early-morning sessions follow a fixed cutoff the previous evening rather than a flat number of hours. Staff booking someone in at the desk are not held to the same restriction, because a walk-in standing in front of them is not the problem the rule exists to solve.

  • Two ways of selling the same capacity

    What the business needed

Ordinary sessions are sold per person. Team sessions are a fixed price for the whole slot.

    What Fenro built

Both run through the same operation and the same availability, with the right commercial rule applied to each. The system decides what a booking costs, not the person taking it.

  • One source of capacity

    What the business needed

Online and front-desk bookings must never behave like two separate inventories.

    What Fenro built

Customers and staff book against the same availability and the same capacity, so the last free place is the last free place wherever it is sold.

  • Cancellations that know about money

    What the business needed

A cancellation policy that ignores whether anything was actually paid gets in the way of staff.

    What Fenro built

A refund is only offered when there is a real payment and enough notice. A session covered by a membership has no money at stake, so it can be moved without being blocked by the same window. Staff can still override the rule for a genuine exception, and that decision is recorded.

  • When the systems underneath disagree

    What the business needed

A payment, booking or membership action can occasionally succeed in one underlying system while another part fails.

    What Fenro built

Fenro records the ambiguous cases and gives staff a single list to resolve, with what happened and what to do about it, instead of leaving them to compare disconnected systems by hand.

What Fenro built and still operates

Those rules only mean something if one system enforces them everywhere. Here is what that system actually does, from three angles: what a customer can do, what staff can do, and what Fenro alone is responsible for.

What customers can do

  • See real availability

Live capacity, not a static calendar. It's the same record staff use at the desk.

  • Book and pay, recognised as a member instantly

Choose a date and time, bring a group, and pay online without leaving the site. If the email matches a membership, the system recognises it live, before checkout: no promo code, no waiting for staff to look anything up.

  • Manage their own booking

Cancel or reschedule themselves, up to the agreed cutoff, no phone call needed.

  • Get a real confirmation

A branded email with session details, payment status and a self-service management link.

What staff can do

  • Take bookings and payments at the desk

Walk-in and phone bookings go against the same capacity customers see online, against one record. Cash, card reader or online: all update the same financial record.

  • Manage members

Add, pause or cancel a membership directly, without a spreadsheet on the side.

  • Handle exceptions

Cancellations, refunds and payment issues get a clear list of what to fix, not guesswork.

  • Change prices and capacity themselves

Session price, team-session price, membership price and group size: edit and save, live on the next booking. No code change, no waiting on Fenro.

What Fenro operates

  • Hosting and infrastructure

Fenro runs and monitors the whole system, not something the client manages.

  • One coordinated operation

Booking, payment, membership and email all coordinated together, not stitched together by hand.

  • Transaction safeguards

Checkout retry protection, payment verification and idempotent fulfilment.

  • Monitoring and security

Rate limiting, uptime monitoring and alerting, live today.

Everything above is built, shipped and verified in this live implementation. The Recovery Club is a new business with no reviews or testimonials yet; we'll share those as soon as there's real evidence to back them, not before.
